Samsung’s improved update track record for a majority of its new handsets is certainly impressive, with the manufacturer releasing monthly fixes for several devices. As such, the latest July 2022 software patch for the Samsung Galaxy s21 FE has finally arrived for US, Europe, and Asian versions of the phone, which features some much-welcome updates.
The update comes with version numbers G990USQU3CVF7 and G990U1UES3CVF3 for carrier and unlocked versions in the US, with version number G990BXXU2CVF6 for European variants of the device, and version number G990EXXU3CVG2 for the phone’s SM-G990E model number variant.
Launched earlier this year, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE slots just between the company’s mid-range “A” series phones and the more high-end “S” flagship devices. There have also been talks that this might be the only “FE” device for a while, as some sources have mentioned that Samsung might skip on releasing an “S22 FE” phone. Prior to this, the S21 FE shared its “Fan Edition” branding with the S20 FE, as well as the much older Galaxy Note FE.
To check if your phone can download the newest update, simply head into your “Settings” app, head over to “Software Update” and proceed to tap on “Download and Install” to begin the update process.
