Nothing Phone (1) now expected to come with 33W charging speeds

0

These days, it’s not uncommon to find smartphone makers launching smartphones that support fast charging speeds, with some even supporting charging speeds of a blazing fast 120W. Unfortunately, that might not be the case with the upcoming Nothing Phone (1).

This is according to a tweet by Mukul Sharma who discovered a TÜV SÜD listing for the Nothing Phone (1) where it says that the phone will support 33W. Why is this a big deal? This is because prior to this discovery, it had been rumored that the phone could support 45W.

But what’s confusing about this is that while the phone is said to support 33W, apparently it has a maximum support of 45W. This means that it is possible that the previous rumors were right, it’s just that 45W is the maximum it will support. We’re not sure what this means and if maybe the phone does jump between both charging speeds depending on how low on battery it is.

Also, it has been suggested that Nothing might follow in the footsteps of Apple and Samsung and ditch the charger inside of the box, meaning that users will need to find their own chargers or use existing ones. Either way, we should have more details next week where the phone is expected to be officially announced on the 12th of July.
