Unlocked OnePlus Nord N20 5G now available in the US

0

Back in April, the OnePlus Nord N20 5G was officially released. The only problem with trying to get your hands on the device in the US is that the phone was exclusive to T-Mobile, meaning that you would need to sign up for a T-Mobile plan and be the carrier’s customer in order to get it.

If you’re not a fan of T-Mobile or are already subscribed to another carrier, then you might be pleased to learn that the exclusivity has run out and that the unlocked version of the phone is finally available for purchase stateside. The device will be available for purchase from OnePlus’ website where it will be priced at $299.

For some, $299 isn’t that big of a deal and the upside here is that you’ll be able to use the phone free of any carrier contracts. The downside is that for others who might have preferred buying this through a carrier installment plan, you still only have T-Mobile to choose from.

Keep in mind that the unlocked version won’t work with Verizon and if you use it with AT&T, you’ll only be able to get 4G connectivity. It’s only on T-Mobile and its MVNOs that you’ll be able to unlock its 5G potential, so if 5G is a must-have feature for you, then you might be better off buying the phone from T-Mobile or seeking out a different handset.
