New ASUS ROG Phone 6 renders shows off snap-on fan accessory

ASUS has confirmed that on the 5th of July, they will be officially announcing their next gaming smartphone, the ROG Phone 6. Now thanks to a post on 91mobiles by leakster Evan Blass, he has published a new set of renders showing off what we might be able to expect from the upcoming handset.

From what we can see from the renders, it looks like ASUS is going with a very futuristic, sci-fi looking design for the phone. In a way it actually reminds us of a gaming PC, so given that this is a gaming phone, we can’t say we’re too surprised. The renders also show off one of the upcoming accessories for the phone, which is a snap-on cooling fan.

This fan is designed to help keep the phone cool during extended gaming sessions when the phone will most likely start to run a bit hot. This will help maintain performance while also potentially maintaining the battery health of the device. What’s cool about this fan is that it also seems to come with a little kickstand that lets you prop the phone up so you can watch videos with it or use it when paired with a controller.

It does look kind of bulky and garish, especially if you’re not a fan of the RGB lights, but if you’re a hardcore mobile gamer this could be something to look forward to. Other features of the phone include an IPX4 rating and also a 6,000mAh battery.
