Vivo’s flagships have been making a lot of noise lately, as the company continues to improve its mid-range and high-end smartphone offerings with more powerful specs and features. As such, rumors online indicate that the company’s upcoming Vivo X80 Pro+ might run on Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset to date, the much-anticipated Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
An online report points out that Vivo will be using the latest Qualcomm flagship SoC in its upcoming handset, and if true this could mean better power efficiency and performance, as the chip boasts up to 30% less power consumption compared to the 8 Gen 1.
While not much is known about the other specs of the device, it’s expected that the X80 Pro+ will come with a 6.8-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Zeiss-tuned cameras, as well 120W charging. It’s also expected that the phone might see a global release date around October this year. At the moment, there’s no formal word on Vivo about the X80 Pro+, so we’ll have to do a bit more waiting for further information about the device, including its hardware and specs list.
The phone succeeds the Vivo X80 and X80 Pro, which were launched recently in China and will be sold in more international markets.
