The Samsung Galaxy S22 FE might have been cancelled

Similar to Google’s Pixel A-series of smartphones, Samsung had previously adopted something along those veins with the FE version of its flagship smartphones. It has been something the company has been doing for the past couple of years, but it looks like it may no longer be happening.

A report from SamMobile has revealed that they have heard that Samsung could have cancelled their plans to launch the Galaxy S22 FE and that future FE models may no longer be happening as well. It is unclear why that is the case, but perhaps the FE versions of the phones aren’t selling as well as Samsung would have liked.

The Galaxy S21 FE was supposed to have been released back in 2021, but it ended up getting delayed and launching in 2022 instead. This means that if Samsung were to launch the Galaxy S22 FE, it would end up potentially competing against their own products, especially with the newer hardware that would make it a more compelling alternative to the Galaxy S21 FE.

Launching it in 2023 wouldn’t really make sense either because by then, there will be newer phones with newer hardware and features, giving users less of a reason to pick up the Galaxy S22 FE. Samsung hasn’t officially commented on the rumors just yet, but if you don’t see the Galaxy S22 FE this year or next year, don’t be surprised.
