In addition to its Galaxy Watch wearables, Samsung’s fitness bands have been a popular (and more affordable) way to keep an eye on one’s health while enjoying the benefits of the company’s smart health-tracking software and hardware services. That said, new rumors have emerged claiming that we might see a brand-new Galaxy Fit band soon.
A post found on Samsung’s online community forums (in South Korea) claims that an upcoming successor to the Galaxy Fit 3 might arrive in late 2022, or early next year in case it gets delayed. Aside from the comment though, no other information was detailed, so we’ll have to take this with a grain of salt.
Samsung’s last Fitness band – the Galaxy Fit 2 – was released back in 2020 and featured specs which include a 1.1-inch AMOLED display, Bluetooth connectivity, up to 15 days of battery life with moderate usage, 2MB RAM, and 32MB internal storage. It lacked features like SPO2 monitoring and GPS however, which are now featured on a lot of modern fitness bands and trackers.
As expected, there’s currently no formal word from Samsung regarding the Galaxy Fit 3 (or if it will even be called the Fit 3, for that matter), so fans of Samsung’s fitness bands will have to do a bit of waiting for this one.
