Carl Pei reveals Nothing has sold more than 530,000 units of its Ear (1) earbuds

Since the launch of the Nothing Ear (1) earbuds last year, there’s been a lot of hype around the brand and the earbuds themselves. While the Nothing Ear (1) had a lot to offer and delivered great value, it was unclear if the new brand would be able to move the needle, especially within the overcrowded true wireless earbuds segment.

As of today, we finally have a number to put on the board which gives us an indication that Nothing is faring quite well within the wireless earbuds category. In the latest teaser video for the upcoming launch of the nOthing Phone (1), Carl Pei revealed that his company has now sold more than 530,000 units of the Nothing Ear (1) since the earbuds made their debut last summer.

Nothing Ear 1 review: redefining the average earbuds

That number is quite small when compared to the 21 million wireless earbuds that Samsung sold in 2021 and only 0.17% of the overall 300 million units that hit the market last year, it’s actually quite commendable due to the limited production and distribution of the product during its first 9 months.

Based on its $100 sticker price, the 530,000 units sales of the Nothing Ear (1), the company’s average revenue for the past 9 months should be right around $53 million. Since Nothing isn’t a publicly-traded company, they aren’t required to publicly share their quarterly earnings reports.

If you’re curious about the coming Nothing Phone (1), be sure to tune into the launch on July 12th.
