Samsung has lately been consistent in rolling out new security patches for several of its Android handsets, and its latest update is now making its way to the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, which includes both LTE and 5G variants of the device.

The June security patch for the phone comes with firmware version number G780FXXU9DVE7, which is available for owners of the device in Russia. Meanwhile, users with the 5G variant of the phone can expect to receive the update with firmware version number G781BXXU4FVE8. The update for the 5G variant is currently available in the Baltic region, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, as well as Slovakia.

The new monthly updates come with fixes for stability, and addresses several security and privacy issues. Owners of the S20 FE can expect the updates to make their way to more regions in the coming days and weeks.

If you own a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, you can check if your device is eligible for the latest software update by heading into your Settings App, scrolling down to “Software Update,” and proceeding to “Download and Install” to prompt the phone to scan for the update.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE was originally launched back in 2020, and essentially served as a “premium mid-range” device between the company’s Galaxy A-series and Galaxy S-series handsets.
