How to remove camera watermarks from ZTE phones

0

Handset manufacturers are proud of their phones and the tech that goes inside, and rightfully so. Many have spent millions on R&D trying to develop the best smartphone possible, and they want everyone to know what you’re using.

So much so that for some handsets, like those made by ZTE, the company actually includes a little watermarking feature whenever you snap a photo so that people know which phone took the photo.

We have to admit that it’s actually a bit tacky and if you’re in the same camp as us, the good news is that you can actually remove that ZTE watermark from your phone. It’s pretty simple and straightforward, so here’s what you need to do.

Remove ZTE’s watermark from your photos

  1. Launch the Camera app
  2. Tap the settings icon located at the top corner of the app
  3. In the Camera settings page, scroll all the way down
  4. Tap the toggle next to “ZTE Watermark” (it should be grey, blue means it’s turned on)
  5. Future photos will no longer come with the ZTE watermark

We should point out that this only works for future photos. Photos that you previously took will still have the watermark on them and there’s nothing you can do to remove them short of cropping them out of the photo, or painstakingly editing it using a photo editing software or app.
