OPPO Find X5 Pro -06

Oppo Find X5 Pro will be among the first non-Pixel devices to get the Android 13 Beta

A couple of weeks ago, Google released Android 13 Beta 1. Unfortunately, the only devices that were eligible to take part in the beta was the company’s Pixel series of smartphones. This means that non-Pixel users had to wait before the Android 13 Beta 1 was made available to them.

The good news is that if you got your hands on the Oppo Find X5 Pro that launched earlier this year, the company has announced that the handset will be among the first non-Pixel smartphones to be eligible for the beta program. Note that at the moment, only the Find X5 Pro is eligible as far as Oppo’s phones are concerned.

This means that developers and users who are curious as to what kind of changes Android 13 could bring to the table can actually download it and take it for a spin. This is not the vanilla version of Android 13 as it will be based on Oppo’s ColorOS, but it should still pretty much come with most of the features and changes that we’ve come to expect of Android 13 so far.

Keep in mind that since this is a beta, there are bound to be bugs and issues that Google and Oppo have yet to fully iron out. It also means that there might be features that might not necessarily make the final cut, so it’s probably best not to use this as your daily driver unless you’re a developer looking to ensure that their apps are compatible with the changes in Android 13.

For those who are interested, you can head on over to Oppo’s developer website for the details and instructions on how to download the beta onto the Find X5 Pro.
