Super Evil Megacorp returns with new mobile battlegrounds shooter Catalyst Black

MOBAs are a pretty popular genre of video games at the moment and it’s not hard to see why. Games like Valve’s Dota and Riot’s League of Legends are still incredibly popular and their tournaments have managed to raise prize pools of several millions of dollars.

If you’re looking for a new MOBA to check out, then you might be interested to learn that Super Evil Megacorp has announced its latest title – Catalyst Black. For those who are unfamiliar, Super Evil Megacorp is the developer behind another popular mobile game, Vainglory, so if you have played and enjoyed Vainglory, then Catalyst Black could be worth checking out.

Based on the screenshots and videos that we’ve seen of the game so far, it does remind us a bit of League of Legends: Wild Rift, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. According to Super Evil Megacorp, players of the game will be able to collect, upgrade, and customize their loadout to create combinations that will suit their playstyle.

There will be 30+ guns, 12+ abilities, 15+ trinkets, and 6 primals to choose from at launch, so there should be plenty of options and combinations that players can try right from the jump. What’s interesting about the game is that it offers different modes. Players who enjoy PvE content can band with other players to defeat bosses. There are also modes that are more common in MOBAs like trying to gain control of a fortress, and more.

Catalyst Black is currently slated for a launch on both iOS and Android on the 25th of May and players who are interested can pre-register for the game. The developer is also offering incentives for players to pre-register, where the more pre-registrations it gets ahead of launch, the more rewards players can unlock.
