Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 could ditch the “Classic” model

0

To date when it comes to Samsung’s smartwatches, the company usually offers several variants. For example with the Galaxy Watch 4, the company offered a regular version along with a “Classic” version, but it seems that is a practice that the company plans to stop with the Galaxy Watch 5.

The Galaxy Watch 5 has yet to be announced, but according to an exclusive report from SamMobile, it appears that the upcoming smartwatch will no longer offer users a Classic version. Instead, the report claims that the watch will come in two variants, the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.

The report goes on to state that for the Galaxy Watch 5, it will come in two different sizes for people with smaller/larger wrists, but apparently the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will only be offered in a single size. The Pro version was also previously rumored to be packing a larger battery, which should help deal with complaints that some users had with the Galaxy Watch 4 whose battery life was kind of underwhelming.

Not much else is known about the upcoming smartwatches in terms of its design and whether or not Samsung will continue to keep the rotatable bezel, so we’ll just have to wait and see. There is no mention of a launch date, but if Samsung plans to announce it alongside their foldables, then we might have to wait until August for the details.
