Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro could be packing a monster-sized battery

0

If you own a regular watch, you know that you almost never have to change the battery. It can go for years on end, or in some cases, some watches don’t even need a battery to run. Smartwatches on the other hand, some models might actually require charging on a daily basis.

But that won’t be the case with the upcoming rumored Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. According to SamMobile’s sources, they have learned that a Pro variant of the Galaxy Watch 5 could be in the works and that it might be packing a monster battery of the 572mAh variety. While obviously paling in comparison to laptops or smartphones, 572mAh is a huge step up from the Galaxy Watch 4’s 361mAh battery.

In terms of how much more battery life users can expect, that’s a bit hard to say, but with more than 200mAh battery compared to its predecessor, we reckon it could last quite a lot longer. That being said, we probably shouldn’t get our hopes up just yet because according to the report, it isn’t a guarantee that Samsung could proceed with the Pro model.

The report suggests that Samsung could very well scrap their plans for it ahead of the Galaxy Watch 5’s launch, so it may never see the light of day. Assuming that it doesn’t though, this could be a great watch for users who might be concerned about battery life on their wearables.
