More companies are getting into foldable phones these days, largely thanks to Samsung’s success with its own foldable phones that have proven that there is a market for such devices. This is why it doesn’t come as a surprise to learn that OnePlus could be developing something of their own.
This is according to a report from Pricebaba and Yogesh Brar where they claim that OnePlus is working on their own foldable. Before you OnePlus fans get too excited, know that you might have already seen this device.
This is because the report is alleging that the OnePlus foldable phone is actually very similar to the Oppo Find N that launched back in 2021. Given that both OnePlus and Oppo are owned by the same parent company and share resources, this shouldn’t be too surprising. Plus with OnePlus and Oppo previously stating that they would be working together on the software front, it kind of makes sense.
That being said, this isn’t necessarily bad news because from what we know and have seen about the Oppo Find N, it looks like a pretty decent foldable. There is no word on when OnePlus is expected to debut their foldable phone, but if you’re a OnePlus fan then this could be something to keep an eye out for in the future.
