HMD Global launches new extended warranty plans for its Nokia handsets

0

Usually warranty for smartphones lasts about a year. After which, any damage or repairs needed will have to come out of your own pocket. The good news is that if you are a Nokia fan and have purchased some of HMD Global’s Nokia phones in the past, then you might be interested to learn that the company has announced a new extended warranty program.

This new extended warranty will allow Nokia handset owners to extend the device’s warranty by an additional year following the original period, so if for example the original warranty only lasted a year, purchasing this extended warranty plan will essentially bring it up to two years in total.

It will cost customers in the US $10 to purchase the plan and will cover issues like unexpected mechanical or electrical failure, which honestly is a great deal if you want that added peace of mind.

In addition to the extended warranty program, HMD GLobal also announced a new device protection plan that will cover users in the event that their devices suffer from accidental liquid damage and spills or drops. This new protection plan will be priced starting at $14 for the 14-month coverage.

If you’d like to learn more about these plans and maybe sign up for one yourself, head on over to Nokia’s website for the details.
