0

Until now, the only option that one had when it came to signing up for YouTube Music or YouTube Premium was to pay monthly for the subscription. YouTube Premium comes in at $11.99 per month, while Music is a separate subscription priced at $9.99 per month. But it seems that Google and YouTube are ready to give everyone another option as new annual plans are being introduced.

As spotted by 9to5Google, the yearly subscription plans aim to save you $36 per year for YouTube Premium and almost $30 with YouTube Music Premium. New subscribers began seeing prompts allowing them to pay for a year upfront, giving you the ability to save some money if you know that you’re going to stick to either YouTube Premium or Music Premium for more than a few months.

To save you even more money, there is a limited-time promotion that will save you even more. Those interested in subscribing to the annual plan for YouTube Premium will pay just $107.99, but this deal lasts until January 23 when the price will go up to $119.99. As for Music Premium, you’re looking at paying just $89.99 before the price increases to $99.99 on the 23rd. But the best part is that these promotions are available for both existing and new subscribers.

If you’ve been waiting for Google and YouTube to finally offer annual plans, here’s how you can sign up right from your phone:

  1. Open the YouTube app on your phone.
  2. Tap your profile image in the top right corner.
  3. Tap Get YouTube Premium.
  4. Tap Save money on annual, family or student plan.
  5. Select Get Annual Plan.
  6. Follow the on-screen steps to complete your subscription.

If you’re an existing subscriber, you can still take advantage of these deals. However, the only difference is that you’ll first need to cancel your current YouTube Premium or Music Premium subscription before you will can sign up.
