Oppo’s tablet spotted at the benchmarks with Snapdragon 870 chipset

0

Last year, it was reported that Oppo could be considering launching their first tablet. Given that other Chinese smartphone makers have already entered the tablet market, like Xiaomi and Huawei, it didn’t really come as a surprise to learn that Oppo could be doing the same.

The tablet has yet to be announced, but thanks to a sighting on Geekbench, it looks like some of the tablet’s hardware could have been revealed. This includes the chipset it will be using, how much RAM it will come with, and also its benchmark scores that should give us a rough idea of what to expect.

In terms of chipset, don’t expect anything too fancy because based on the Geekbench sighting, it will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 chipset. It’s not a flagship chipset, but as it is part of the 8-series, it should be very capable. It also appears to be accompanied by 6GB of RAM and has a single-core score of 4,582, and a multi-core score of 12,259.

Other rumored features of the tablet that we have heard includes how it could come with an 11-inch 2560×1600 display that also has a 120Hz refresh rate, a 13MP main camera, an 8MP secondary camera, 256GB of storage, an 8,080mAh battery, and it could come with Android 11 preinstalled.

Oppo has yet to officially announce the tablet or indicate when it might launch, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
