Today is Pixel 6 day, but Android 12 has been available in an official capacity for the past couple of weeks. We’ve been seeing different phone makers open beta programs to give their users a taste of what’s to come, and ASUS is the latest on the list.
The company announced its Android 12 beta program through the ZenTalk forums (via GSMArena), and if you own the ZenFone 8, you can sign up between today and November 8th. But instead of needing to jump through a bunch of hoops just to get your hands on the upcoming Android 12 beta, you can sign up and join right from your ZenFone 8 Flip.
In order to sign up, follow these steps:
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and select System.
- Tap System Update.
- In the top right corner, tap the Gear icon.
- Tap Enroll in the Beta Test Program.
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete the enrollment process.
Shortly after you have enrolled your ZenFone 8 Flip in the Android 12 beta program, the first update should appear. Just follow the steps to install any other software update and you’ll be ready to go. Currently, there are no screenshots or other information regarding what ASUS plans to do with Android 12, so we’ll have to wait and see what everything looks like.
ASUS has already announced it plans to roll out the final version of Android 12 to the ZenFone 8 Flip sometime in December, so hopefully this beta program won’t have too many bugs.
