ASUS to begin its Android 12 rollout starting in December

0

Now that Google has officially made Android 12 available, we’re sure some of you are wondering when your manufacturer will release the update for your phone. If you happen to own an ASUS handset, then you’ll be pleased to learn that the company will be kicking off the Android 12 rollout this December.

According to ASUS, the first phone to receive the Android 12 update will be the Zenfone 8 and the Zenfone 8 Flip. The company claims that the update will be rolling out in December 2021. This is then expected to be followed by the Zenfone 7 in the first half of 2022.

For those who own the company’s ROG gaming phone, ASUS says that the ROG Phone 5/5S will be getting the update in the first quarter of 2022, while the ROG Phone 3 will get it in the first half of 2022. The company does specify when exactly, but those are the rough time frames you can look forward to.

ASUS says that they have already begun beta testing the update for the Zenfone 8 so hopefully barring any issues, the update should be good by the time December rolls around.

Other handset manufacturers like Google have already started the rollout for their Pixel phones, while Vivo has also recently announced their plans to start its beta program for Android 12.
