How to cancel your Hulu subscription

0

Hulu is one of the more popular streaming services in the US. It plays home to quite a number of popular shows and as such, it has also managed to attract a fair number of subscribers over the years.

That being said, the past few years have seen more companies enter the streaming market, which means that customers now have more choices than ever. If you have a Hulu subscription and you want to cancel it in favor of a different service, or maybe you’re just done with streaming services, then here’s how you can easily cancel your Hulu sub.

Cancel your Hulu subscription

  1. Go to Hulu and log into your account
  2. Go to your Account page
  3. Under “Your Subscription”, select Cancel
  4. Click Continue to Cancel
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the cancellation process

According to Hulu:

“You’ll continue to have access to Hulu until the end of your current billing cycle, but will not be charged moving forward. However, if you cancel during your trial period, please keep in mind that you will lose access to Hulu immediately.”

Pausing your Hulu subscription

If you’d rather not outright cancel your subscription, Hulu actually offers users a way to pause their subscription for up to 12 weeks. This means that you won’t be billed for that period and once that period is up, your account will be reactivated. As Hulu notes, this is perfect for those who might be away for an extended period of time and won’t be able to access its service.

  1. Go to your Hulu Account page
  2. Under “Your Subscription” click Pause
  3. Choose a duration of up to 12 weeks
  4. Click Submit

Cancel Hulu through a third-party billing system

The methods above listed are the ways you can cancel your Hulu subscription if you were to subscribe to Hulu directly. If you are subscribed to Hulu through a third-party billing system, like through Apple’s App Store, Disney, or Spotify, then the methods of cancelling your subscription are different.

You can head on over to Hulu’s support page where there are different instructions for the different third-party billing systems.
