The next TicWatch is coming soon, but here’s your chance to win one for free

Until the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 made its debut, the TicWatch Pro 3 was largely considered the best Wear OS smartwatch out there. Things have changed just a little, as the Galaxy Watch 4 remains the only smartwatch currently available running the all-new Wear OS 3 software.

We have been expecting a new TicWatch “flagship” smartwatch for a little while now, and it appears that the time has almost arrived. Mobvoi took to Twitter to “announce” the new TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS. Nothing about the smartwatch has been officially revealed, but the countdown has begun with TicWatch running a series of giveaways starting tomorrow.

Between Oct 8 and Oct 13, Mobvoi is giving away 20 free TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra models, along with “unlimited single $20 Mobvoi Gift Cards”. In order to participate, you’ll need to head over to the TicWatch website, and perform a series of “daily tasks” to be entered.

Based on the number of tasks that you complete each day, certain users will be given “Ultra Badges”, which will then enter them into the contest. TicWatch also stated that it is giving away some of its latest TicPods ANC earbuds, in addition to the TicWatch and Mobvoi gift cards.

Unfortunately, all we have to go off of in terms of what the Pro 3 Ultra will offer are some previous leaks. The smartwatch made a surprise appearance in an unboxing video, leading to confusion about what was going on. This was further compounded after reports surfaced claiming that Mobvoi simply started updating the previous Pro 3 model with the Snapdragon Wear 4100+ chipset. The Wear 4100+ offers a slight performance bump compared to the original Wear 4100 that powered the Pro 3.

It appears as though Mobvoi is gearing up to officially launch and announce its all-new smartwatch on October 13 at 9 AM ET. So if you’re in the market for a new smartwatch, and are okay with not knowing when or if the Pro 3 Ultra GPS will get Wear OS 3, hang tight for just a few more days. In the meantime, you can head over to register for the contest and enter for your chance to win one for free.
