TicWatch Pro 3 Review_6783

TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS surprisingly appears on YouTube, despite not yet being announced

There are quite a few people that aren’t thrilled with the fact that Samsung seemingly has some type of secret agreement with Google in terms of the Wear OS 3 update. However, that hasn’t stopped smartwatch makers from working on new wearables even with no firm software update plan available.

We’ve already seen what Fossil is bringing to the market with its Gen 6 smartwatch powered by the Snapdragon Wear 4100+. But TicWatch could be the next company to release an updated smartwatch. Thanks to NotebookCheck (via r/WearOS), a video has been published to YouTube by Andrea Galeazzi who was in the midst of a massive unboxing. During the video, Galeazzi opens a box to reveal the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS.

At the time of this writing, TicWatch has not announced or unveiled the Pro 3 Ultra GPS. But in the video, Galeazzi states that the smartwatch is powered by the Snapdragon Wear 4100+, whereas the current TicWatch Pro 3 GPS makes use of the standard Snapdragon Wear 4100.

Outside of that, there’s not much else revealed about the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS, aside from the fact that it has some type of military-grade durability. If anything this is more of a minor upgrade from TicWatch, as the company is likely working on its first smartwatch to launch sometime next year with Wear OS 3 in tow.

Considering that companies have a tendency of sending out review units ahead of a device’s release date, we can expect to see a new TicWatch option released in the near future.
