We’ve been seeing rumors and rumblings about a potential successor to the Google Pixel Stand, but these have yet to be confirmed. Today, Max Weinbach with Android Police has shared an image of what appears to be SKU listings for the Pixel Stand. There are two listings, with set to be a demo unit, and the other likely being the actual SKU.

The image comes from “one of the major US carriers”, which doesn’t come as too much of a surprise given that we’re getting closer to the release of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. What is interesting and a bit of a surprise is what the image reveals other than SKU numbers. According to the name being used, the Pixel Stand is set to offer up to 23W of power as its description reads “Google Pixel 23W WL Stand”.

This is more than what both Samsung and Apple offer with their 15W maximum speeds and is higher than what the original Pixel Stand offers with its 10W wireless charging. Samsung relies on Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, while the only way to reach those speeds with an iPhone is to use MagSafe with an iPhone 12. Of course, the 23W is great and all but pales in comparison to the OnePlus 9 Pro and what we’re seeing from other brands like Xiaomi and Oppo.

Nevertheless, this not only points to a new Pixel Stand coming soon-ish but also confirms that we’ll see wireless charging aboard at least one of Google’s new devices. The only question that remains is whether this also means that the Pixel 6 will charge at the rated 23W speeds.

Early in the Android 12 Beta cycle, references to a new Pixel Stand were found in the code-base. It’s possible that this new and improved Pixel Stand will also have built-in fans to help keep your phone cool while charging. The fan could also include different modes, with one being a “quiet” mode as to not interfere with your sleep and allowing your Pixel 6 to pick up any “Hey, Google” requests.
