Galaxy S21 FE Leaked Instagram Full

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE just gained its Bluetooth certification, likely coming in October

This week has been all about the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3, but there’s another Samsung phone on the horizon — the Galaxy S21 FE. Earlier in the year, rumors suggested Samsung was going to announce the S21 FE at this week’s Unpacked event. However, the device was delayed as to not take away from the company’s new focus on foldable phones.

Today, two versions of the Galaxy S21 FE have gained their Bluetooth certifications after appearing on the Bluetooth SIG website. Not only do these filings mention the phone by name, but they also show that the S21 FE will be using Bluetooth 5.0. The decision to use an older version of Bluetooth may come as a surprise, but it’s the same version being used on the two latest foldable phones and is likely being done to help keep costs down.

Additionally, one of the filings reveals a model number of SM-G990B_DS, with the “DS” referring to a dual-SIM variant. Considering that you couldn’t use the dual-SIM Galaxy S20 FE here in the US, that’s likely to be the case again.

Unfortunately, these Bluetooth SIG filings don’t reveal too much else, other than that the filings were made at the same time as the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3. This just further proves that Samsung was originally planning to introduce all three phones at Galaxy Unpacked, but Samsung ended up changing its mind.

Earlier in the week, Samsung seemingly leaked the Galaxy S21 FE in a now-removed Instagram post promoting the Galaxy family of products for its Back To School promotion. But it seems that we’ll just have to keep waiting to see what’s to come from this budget-friendly device.

Rumors and speculation point to the S21 FE sporting a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 888 will return again, along with at least 8GB of RAM and potentially up to 256GB of storage. And other than the recently-leaked Instagram post, all we know about the camera system is that Samsung will use a triple-sensor array.
