From time to time, OnePlus has a knack for sending out review units of pre-production devices to active members of the OnePlus community. Today, the company has announced another such promotion, but this time, you can enter for a chance to test out the OnePlus Nord 2 and a pro-level series of earbuds.
The OnePlus Nord 2 is already slated to launch on July 22nd, so this might just be a way for the company to get some good press. But the new OnePlus Buds Pro has not been leaked or mentioned before.
If interested, you can throw your hat in the ring for either the Nord 2 or the Buds Pro. Just head here and apply for either of the devices. You’ll be asked to provide your email, OnePlus account username, along with some other bits of information. OnePlus also provided a schedule as to what this latest process will look like:
- July 9 – Open for Application
- July 9 – July 17 – Community team reviews your application
- July 17 – Application Closes
- July 21 – Lab Reviewers are announced
- July 22 – Devices are shipped
- TBD – Unboxing and Embargo
- TBD – The Lab Review commences
It’s curious that the Nord 2 would be shipped on the same day it’s launching. But maybe there will be a bit of a delay between when the announcement is made and when it becomes available for purchase.
As for the Buds Pro, it was only a matter of time before OnePlus began development on new earbuds. Previous iterations are great for those who don’t want to break the bank, or just like having their devices and accessories come from the same company. But we have been hoping for some new earbuds from OnePlus equipped with ANC, and the Buds Pro might just fit the bill.
