We’ll have to wait until November for Nokia’s next flagship
It’s been a couple of months since we’ve seen any new phones from HMD Global-owned Nokia. The company launched its C-series back in April, but rumors and speculation have started to pick up traction regarding the next Nokia flagship. Most notably, it’s possible that HMD Global is considering moving from Android and switching to Huawei’s HarmonyOS for the rumored Nokia X60.
If you were hoping to see a Nokia flagship announced sooner rather than later, you might be a bit disappointed. According to HMD Global’s Product Manager (via GizChina), Zhang Yucheng, the company will be launching a new flagship on November 11th. This may not have much significance to us here in the U.S., but 11.11 is “Singles’ Day” in China and is one of the biggest shopping events of the year.
Unfortunately, Yucheng didn’t share any other details regarding this upcoming flagship. So we aren’t exactly sure if this will be the Nokia X50 or the Nokia X60. But for now, it’s just going to be a waiting game to see what Nokia and its parent company have been working on. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a true flagship with a Zeiss camera system and all of the flagship specs you could want.
