Feast your eyes on the first hi-res render of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3

Next week, Samsung will be holding a virtual event for MWC 2021 where the focus will be on wearables. There’s another, bigger, event rumored for August where the company will be sharing its pipeline of devices for the rest of the year.

If you don’t want to wait anymore to see what the 2021 foldables will look like, Evan Blass (@evleaks) is here to save the day. The renders not only match up with the leaked promo videos earlier this year, but they are in much higher resolution.

The first render simply shows off the Galaxy Z Fold 3 unfolded with new wallpaper, along with the Z Flip 3 at an angle. It seems that the Flip 3 will sport two cameras, and the outer display will be expanded to be a bit more useful.

The second render shows the same unfolded display, along with a redesigned triple camera setup on the back. But the last big thing to make an appearance this go-’round is the all-new S Pen.

On one hand, it seems that the S Pen Plus that was announced alongside the Galaxy S21 Ultra will finally be made available. On the other, those who were hoping for an integrated stylus like the Galaxy Note will be a bit disappointed. But those hopes were slim as they were because there’s already a lot of technology packed into the Z Fold so there likely just isn’t enough room without making unnecessary sacrifices.

If the rumors provided by Blass weren’t enough proof, perhaps you’ll be more convinced with the FCC filing. A new phone with model number SM-F926U passed through the FCC, along with another phone with SM-F711U. The first of which is likely the Galaxy Z Fold 3, with the FCC listing confirming that it will have support for both the S-Pen along with Ultra-wideband (UWB).

As for the Z Flip 3 and its FCC filing, not much was revealed, and there isn’t much that is really surprising. The filing confirms that the Flip 3 will sport 5G connectivity, NFC, and wireless charging. As for that wireless charging, it will see speeds of up to 9W.

What all this means is that Samsung is getting even closer to the announcement of the Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3. It’s possible we could see something as soon as next week, but I’d still hedge my bets on a late July or early August announcement.
