Slack is widely used by companies as a means of communications amongst employers and employees. It’s a perfectly fine system, but it could always stand to be improved upon, and one of those improvements has come in the form of message scheduling where you can actually craft and schedule your messages in Slack.
What this does is that you will be able to write a message and schedule it for a later date. This will come in handy if there’s something you need to inform your co-workers about but don’t want to forget about it, so you schedule it in advance. It can also be useful for reminders about upcoming meetings or events, or if you’re going on holiday, you can also use it to schedule an announcement to your colleagues.
According to Slack, your messages can be pre-written and scheduled up to 120 days in advance, so you can always type it up for the future. You can also go back and edit it or cancel it or reschedule it whenever you want by clicking on the Scheduled section on the sidebar to the left.
This will show you all your messages that are currently scheduled, and you can click on them to make the necessary edits if you need.
