OnePlus is gearing up for some new device launches, but these ones are aimed at the budget market with the rumored Nord CE and the now-confirmed Nord N200. Speaking to PCMag, CEO Pete Lau confirmed a few key specifications for the N200, including how much this phone will cost.

Not only will the Nord N200 feature a triple camera setup along with looking something like a combination of the OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 9, but it will also sport a 90Hz refresh rate. This seems to be the bare minimum “requirement” when it comes to your more traditional flagships. But it’s also becoming a staple in more and more budget-minded devices.

Another major new feature, and arguably an even bigger one than a fast refresh rate is that the Nord N200 will support 5G. Lau stated the following:

“From the premium and ultra-premium OnePlus 9 series to the OnePlus Nord N200 5G—our newest and most affordable 5G device ever—we’re providing more choices and easier access to 5G for our users,”

With last year’s Nord N10 5G and Nord N100, the company saw quite a bit of successor with the latter providing a 15% boost to OnePlus’ market share. However, for as great as the Nord N100 was at its $200 price point, it still didn’t offer 5G connectivity, instead sticking with LTE.

Lau didn’t stop there, as he revealed a few more key specs for the upcoming Nord N200. To go along with the faster 90Hz refresh rate, the display will measure in at 6.49-inches while sporting a 1080p LCD panel. This is a nice upgrade compared to the 720p display found on last year’s N10.

So far, so good. Right? The OnePlus Nord N200 5G may have an obnoxiously long name, but how much is this handset going to be priced at? Lau confirmed that the phone will come in under $250, which is rather impressive considering the upgrades in the display, sporting 5G connectivity, and being equipped with a triple camera array.

We still don’t have a launch date, but we’re expecting to see it in the next month or so. In the meantime, expect to see more teasers and leaks from OnePlus directly up until we get the full picture.
