Oppo is determined to continue churning out new phones at a rapid pace, and today, we’re getting a trio of intriguing devices. The Oppo Reno 6 family has been announced, which includes the Reno 6, Reno 6 Pro, and Reno 6 Pro+.
While the design for all three models is practically identical, there are some key differences to separate these from each other. Starting with the Reno 6, we have a flat 6.4-inch AMOLED display, equipped with a 90Hz refresh rate and an FHD+ resolution.
Powering the Reno 6 is the MediaTek Dimensity 900, while including either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. You’ll also be able to get either 128GB or 256GB of storage, depending on how much RAM you need.
On the camera front, you’ll find a 64MP primary lens, along with an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro lens. Meanwhile, the selfie camera comes in at 32MP. Battery life should be pretty solid thanks to the 4,300mAh cell, but it can be topped off rather quickly thanks to the 65W charging speeds.
Oppo plans on releasing the Find 6 on June 11th, with prices starting at ~$440 for the base model, and going up to ~$500 for the 12GB/256GB variant.
Moving to the Reno 6 Pro and 6 Pro+, the differences may not seem immediately apparent, but they are vastly different. The 6 Pro features a 64MP primary lens, along with an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.
Processing power for the 6 Pro is provided by the MediTek Dimensity 1200 processor, along with the same 8GB/128GB or 12GB/256GB configurations of the Reno 6. Pricing starts at ~$549 for the base model, and goes up to ~$595 for the top-of-the-line model.
As for the 6 Pro+, Oppo is using the same 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera that can be found in the Oppo Find X3 Pro. Flanking this sensor is a 16MP ultrawide camera, along with a 13MP telephoto sensor capable of providing up to 2x optical zoom. And Oppo added on a 2MP depth lens for good measure.
The other major difference between the 6 Pro and 6 Pro+ is the use of the Snapdragon 870 SoC in the latter. In terms of performance, this falls between the Snapdragon 865+ from last year and the latest flagship Snapdragon 888 chipset.
For both of Oppo’s Reno 6 Pro models, the rest of the specs are exactly the same. This includes a 6.55-inch curved AMOLED display equipped with a 90Hz refresh rate. Battery life comes in at 4,500mAh while being able to make use of 65W fast charging speeds.
Pricing for the Oppo Reno 6 Pro+ starts at ~$625 and goes up to ~$705. The Pro and Pro+ will launch on June 5th, ahead of the standard Reno 6.
