Samsung could be developing a gaming smartphone with active fans

0

While gaming phones seem to be rising in popularity, Samsung has actually never really bothered with the trend. The company has instead chosen to focus more on its regular phones and also its foldables, but could the gaming phone market be growing a bit too big for Samsung to ignore?

According to a recent trademark filing over in Europe by LetsGoDigital, it seems that Samsung could be working on a phone with an active cooling system in the form of fans. The trademark is for “Activate Fan Mode” that seems to cover both phones and tablets. Given that none of Samsung’s phones or tablets have fans built into them, this would suggest that this could be a brand new device.

As to why this has led to speculation that it could be a gaming device, this is because most gaming phones we’ve seen incorporate more advanced cooling features compared to regular smartphones, so for Samsung to use fans in phones could potentially indicate that a gaming device is in the works.

It is possible that we might be reading too much into this and that it might not necessarily indicate that a gaming phone is in the works, but we’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for more updates in the near future, if there are any to be had.
