When you pay $2,000 for a smartphone, you expect timely updates. But that just hasn’t been the case when it comes to the Galaxy Z Fold 2, as there were some bugs and other issues with One UI 3.0 for Samsung’s most expensive phone.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 Review

Owners of the device have seen just about every other flagship receive the update, which includes Android 11. However, the wait is finally over, as we have received the One UI 3.0 update on our Galaxy Z Fold 2.

Despite being released for Pixel devices back in September, none of Samsung’s devices were updated until December when the Galaxy S20 family received the update. Since then, the company has been trickling the update to more and more devices, including the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10.

As for what you can expect, this is arguably one of Samsung’s largest software update releases. The company has overhauled its interface, improving how your phone looks, along with making it easier to interact with. There have also been enhancements to the camera app, with improved autofocus, auto-exposure, and AI-based zoom.

There are a lot of new features under the hood with One UI 3.0 based on Android 11, and you can get a sense of the bigger picture with our One UI 3.0 overview. Have you received the update? Let us know what you think in the comments.
