Ever since the iPhone 12 was unveiled, Samsung has been on quite a rollercoaster when it comes to the charging bricks that we have become accustomed to receiving. The company poked fun at Apple’s decision to remove the power brick, and then the rumors began swirling around the Galaxy S21.
After the rumors ramped up, it seemed that Samsung was going to be making the same decision that Apple did, getting rid of the included charging brick. Now that S21 lineup has been unveiled, we now know everything that’s included in the box: Quick Start Guide, USB Type-C Cable, and Ejection Pin. Chances are you already have some chargers hanging around that can be put to use, but if not, we’ve rouned up the best Galaxy S21 chargers.
Although Samsung is no longer including a charger in the box, the company still offers its own USB-C wall charger. This includes both the charging brick and USB-C to USB-C cable while being able to charge your Galaxy S21 at the fastest speed of 25W.
While Anker has the PowerPort Atom, which can charge up to 30W, it may not be the best option for everyone. The PowerPort Atom III offers an ultra-slim design with a bottom-facing USB-C charging port, an LED indicator, and charging speeds up to 30W.
For some, the AUKEY Omnia may be a bit overkill with its charging speeds up to 65W. But that’s actually really great because that means that you’ll be able to charge the Galaxy S21 as fast as possible, while also fast-charging another device.
Over the last year or so, RAVPower has been redesigning many of its chargers, providing a sleeker design and making chargers a bit more useful. This 61W PD Charger has a single USB-C port with charging speeds up to 45W, along with a traditional USB-A port that can charge up to 12W.
It’s convenient to have multiple charging ports on any wall charger, and AUKEY’s Focus Fast Charger fits the bill. There’s a USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 port capable of providing up to 30W when used on its own, or it will ramp down to 18W if both the USB-C and USB-A ports are being used.
When it comes to wireless charging, Samsung is pretty fickle as there are proprietary technologies being used to get the fastest charging possible. With the Samsung Charger Trio, you’ll not only get the fastest wireless charging speeds, but you can also charge three devices at the same time, including a dedicated spot for your Galaxy Watch 3 or Watch Active 2.
Samsung Convertible Wireless Charger
Maybe you don’t care about charging multiple devices at the same time, or maybe you just want a charging stand for your desk. The Samsung Convertible Wireless Charger will provide the fastest wireless charging speeds while featuring two charging coils so you don’t have to worry about misplacing your S21 on the charger.
It should come as no surprise that Anker offers one of the best wireless chargers even if it can’t charge your S21 at the fastest speeds. The PowerWave Alloy offers up to 15W of charging, meeting the 10W speeds that Samsung devices are compatible with for third-party wireless chargers.
CHOETECH Wireless Charger with QC 3.0 Adapter
One of the biggest frustrations with wireless chargers is that your phone can slip out of place if you have notifications coming through. The CHOETECH Wireless Charger helps to combat that with a series of four non-slip pads that are on the top of the charger to keep your phone in place and charging.
iOttie Easy One Touch Wireless 2
Being able to charge in the car can be really important and convenient if you are using your S21 for navigation or a phone call. The iOttie Easy One Touch Wireless 2 is one of the best car chargers and has the added benefit of providing wireless charging along with doubling as a car mount for your phone.
Samsung Portable Wireless Charger
We’ve already covered Samsung’s wireless charging pads and wall charger. But the company has a portable charger that includes a wireless charging pad built-in. The capacity comes in at 10,000mAh while providing up to 25W of wired charging or 7.5W of wireless charging speeds.
RAVPower PB232 30,000mAh Charger
The RAVPower PB232 is simply of one of the best portable chargers, regardless of what devices you need to charge. There is a USB-C port capable of providing up to 60W, which can charge your Galaxy S21 back up to 100% in around an hour, along with a USB-A port. Plus, this features a capacity of 30,000mAh, so you’ll be able to use it for a few days before needing to recharge it.
If you don’t want to carry around a bulky portable charger, then the AUKEY PB-Y36 may be the perfect choice. This 10,000mAh portable charger features LED status lights, an 18W USB-C charging port, and an additional USB-A port if you need to charge multiple devices at the same time.
Anker’s PowerCore Slim comes in at the same 10,000mAh capacity as Anker’s PB-Y36, but it comes in a different form factor to accommodate the three total charging ports. There is a USB-C port for charging the portable charger itself, along with a microUSB port and traditional USB-A port.
