Are you looking forward to Samsung’s 2021 flagship smartphone? If you are, you only need to wait a couple more months. This is because according to Jon Prosser, he claims to have heard from his sources that the Galaxy S21 will be officially announced at an Unpacked event that will be held on the 14th of January, 2021.
He claims that pre-orders will also go live on the same day itself, where the phone is expected to be released on the 29th of January. There is no mention of pricing just yet, but given past prices of the Samsung’s flagship phones, don’t expect them to be cheap. He does, however, mention that there will be six colors to choose from such as black, white, grey, silver, violet, and pink.

As for the specs, not much is known about the phone right now except that it will most likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 for some markets, while other markets could get Samsung’s newer Exynos 2100 chipset.
Before some of you get too upset at the continued usage of the Exynos chipset, recent benchmarks have shown that the newer Exynos 2100 could be on par in performance with Qualcomm, which is good news for those who felt that previous Exynos chipsets were underpowered compared to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon series.
As for design, it seems that Samsung could be done with curved displays and might be opting to use a completely flat screen with the Galaxy S21. Take this with a grain of salt, but with a potential 14th of January, 2021 announcement, we won’t have to wait too long to find out all the official details.
