Assuming OnePlus does not deviate from its release cycle, it is almost a guarantee that we can look forward to the OnePlus 8T in the very near future. In fact, according to leakster Ishan Agarwal, he shared a tip with MySmartPrice in which he revealed that the OnePlus 8T is expected to be officially announced on the 14th of October.
However, Agarwal told the publication that there is a slight chance that this date could change due to the ongoing pandemic, but for now, the 14th of October is the date he believes the company will make the official announcement. We can’t say that we’re too surprised at this date as OnePlus typically announces its “T” series around September or October, so it was really only a matter of time.
We had seen some leaked renders of the upcoming handset where it shows off a slightly redesigned camera module, but otherwise it still looks more or less like the OnePlus 8. Some of the leaked specs of the upcoming handset include a 120Hz display, the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, and it could pack as much as 12GB of RAM.
We had also previously heard that there could also be a Pro version of the OnePlus 8T, and that the company could have even more affordable OnePlus Nord variants that might be announced alongside the handset. Either way, we should find out in the next month or so, but until then take it with a grain of salt.
