You’ll definitely need a case for the Galaxy Note 20 or the Note 20 Ultra and here are our favorites

0

After leaks and rumors and even Samsung accidentally posting some renders, the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra have finally arrived. Not only have we already published our review, but you can officially go to your local carrier, Best Buy, or Amazon and grab one for yourself. But before you get ready to drop at least a $1,000 on one of these devices, make sure you are ready to go with one of the best cases. There are a lot of options out there, but we’ve rounded up our favorites for both the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra.

Best Galaxy Note 20 Cases

Although the back is not made from glass, and it’s slightly less expensive than its larger counterpart, the Galaxy Note 20 still comes in at $1,000. This is a high price for Samsung’s late-2020 flagship, so you’ll want to splurge a little bit on a case to keep it going until you trade it in for the next Note.

Spigen Rugged Armor

Finding a simple, no-frills case is easy thanks to the Spigen Rugged Armor. The case sports the ever-familiar combination of soft matte finish with the carbon fiber accents at the top and bottom. All of the cutouts are precise, removing the concern over not being to unsheath the S Pen when it’s time to use it.

Samsung Kvadrat Cover

Thanks, in large part, to Google, the popularity of fabric covers has grown to the point that many manufacturers are jumping on board. Samsung’s the latest with its Kvadrat Cover for the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra. This case is 100% compostable, which may make you feel a bit better about using the $1,000 Note 20. There are three colors to choose from, and the Kvadrat Cover will definitely turn some heads.

TORRAS Shockproof Series

One problem with some of these TPU and bumper cases is that the buttons are never as clicky or tactile as you may want them to be. The TORRAS Shockproof case helps with that, as the buttons are independent from the case, helping to guarantee that the button gets pushed when you push it. Raised edges protect not only the display, but also the enormous camera hump on the back of your Note.

Nillkin CamShield Cover

Keeping with the idea of protecting the camera hump on the back of your Note 20, the Nillkin CamShield takes this a step further than the rest. Instead of just offering raised bezels, the CamShield does that, but there’s also a slidable camera shield that slides over the top of the camera module. This ensures that you’ll never have to worry about the camera getting scratched accidentally.

ESR Metal Kickstand Case

From time to time, you just need to sit back and take breather. The ESR Metal Kickstand Case makes it easy with the Note 20, as there’s a built-in kickstand on the back that pops in and out of place, while providing a 60-degree angle for your viewing pleasure. The case itself is completely transparent, and the kickstand can either be used vertically or horizontally.

Otterbox Symmetry

Otterbox has been in the case for so long it’s tough to remember when the company got its start. But it’s back with the Galaxy Note 20 lineup and the Symmetry Series of cases. There are four different color options to choose from, and features a proprietary “antimicrobial technology” to help cut down on the amount of bacteria that can reside on the case of your phone. Otterbox knows what it’s doing, and the Symmetry case is a perfect balance of protection and size, but the company also offers a limited lifetime warranty on all of its cases.

Speck Presidio2 Grip

Speck is another one of those companies that have been around forever. This go ’round, the ultra-popular Presidio line of cases has been updated to the Presidio2 Grip, complete with ridges around the edges and back of the case to keep it from slipping out of your hands. The iconic Speck logo is found in the top right-hand corner, and the inside of the case essentially keeps your phone “floating” with the Presidio2 Grip acting as an airbag.

UAG Monarch

UAG’s case offerings are some of the best in the business, while also looking the most unique out of the bunch. With the UAG Monarch, you’re getting a semi-spiderweb design on the back, complete with that sleek Carbon Fiber material in between the ridges. The corners feature additional materials to improve shock absorption, and although the case is rather hefty, it will still work with many of your favorite wireless chargers.

Best Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Cases

Take all of the reasons for protecting the standard Galaxy Note 20 and add a few extra hundred dollars to the list. Starting at $1,299 and measuring it at 6.9-inches, this could spell a recipe for disaster, so we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite cases.

Caseology Parallax

Caseology has started giving Spigen a run for its money, and it’s largely thanks to the Parallax line of cases. The Parallax sports a unique diamond pattern on the back, designed to give you a bit more grip, while also look pretty awesome at the same time. There are four colors to choose from, but we’re in love with the Aqua Green option.

So whether it’s time to head to the office, or for a nice night out, the Samsung Leather Cover is the easy-pick if you want a classy look. WATACHE Ring Holder Cover

With a smartphone that’s almost as large as the Nexus 7, you might end up wanting something like a PopSocket. Well, instead of spending money on a case AND something else, why not check out the WATACHE Ring Hold Cover. The back of the case is clear, paired with a black TPU bumper, and the ring holder on the back. This will flip out and rotate 360-degrees, but also works with your magnetic car mounts.

Poetic Revolution

When a device costs as much as a high-end PC, you’ll want to keep it protected, especially if you clumsy or are in the service industry. The Poetic Revolution may add more bulk than any other case here, but you’ll be getting two layers of protection on the sides and back. And if you don’t want to always hold your chonking phone in your hand, Poetic has included a built-in kickstand.

UAG Civilian

Adding just enough bulk to keep your Note 20 Ultra protected is the UAG Civilian. This case comes in two different color options, each with different accents to help them stand out from the rest. Not only will you be able to wireless charge your phone without taking the case off, but the Civilian has also been tested and works with Wireless PowerShare, along with Samsung Pay. With the Civilian, you’ll get a great design while adding the right amount of protection to your phone.

Ringke Air-S

If you’re someone who doesn’t like the idea of putting a skin on the back of their new phone but also don’t want to add too much weight to the already-hefty Note 20 Ultra, then the Ringke Air-S is perfect. This case is lightweight, comes in plenty of colors to choose from, and there’s even a cutout on the edge loop a lanyard onto your case, making it so that your Note 20 Ultra never goes anywhere you don’t want it to.

Otterbox Symmetry

We’ve already spoken about the prowess of Otterbox and its history of making some great cases. Just like the Symmetry case for the Note 20, Otterbox has made the same case available for the Note 20 Ultra. And if you’re one of those who like showing off their phones without taking them out of the case, you’ll definitely want to pick up the clear option.
