Samsung will be hosting its Galaxy Unpacked event next month. For the most part, it is largely expected that this event will see the company unveil brand new handsets like the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series. That much is almost a certainty based on the timing and the teaser video that accompanied the announcement.
But there have also been rumors suggesting that we could see more devices, like new foldables. It turns out that those rumors might be true because in a blog post on Samsung’s website, TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics, has revealed that the company will be unveiling as many as five new devices, or “power devices” as per his own words.
“At this summer’s Galaxy Unpacked, we’ll be introducing five new power devices. These devices deliver on our vision to be the innovator of new mobile experiences that flow seamlessly and continuously wherever we go. They combine power with seamless functionality, whether you’re at work or play, at home or away. In the Next Normal, you will be empowered to live life to the fullest with these devices in your hand (and in your ears, and on your wrist.)”
Like we said, there have been rumors that claim that we could be getting a look at the new Galaxy Fold handset, which will hopefully fix the mistakes and improve on the experience compared to the original Galaxy Fold. There have also been rumblings to suggest that a 5G variant of the Galaxy Z Flip could been revealed at the event as well.
Needless to say that this is just speculation on our part, but do check back with us on the 5th of August for all the official details.
