Official: OnePlus Nord to make it debut July 21 with unique AR launch event

0

OnePlus has just announced that the much-anticipated OnePlus Nord will officially be unveiled on July 21. Unlike the Oneplus 8 and onePlus 8 Pro launch a few months back, the company will shift from a standard video stream of the event to a unique AR experience that will require you to download the OnePlus Nord AR app onto an Android or iOS device in order to view the launch stream.

The AR launch is scheduled to start at 10am ET on July 21.

OnePlus has also created a physical AR invitation, which will give users a unique hands-on experience of the OnePlus Nord product via AR. More information regarding the physical AR invitation will be made available through the @oneplus.nord Instagram account in the coming days.

What to expect from the OnePlus Nord

While the OnePlus Nord rumor mill has been churning for quite some time, there is still a lot we don’t know about the device due to conflicting rumors and speculation. The main specs should include Qualcomm’s 5G-enabled Snapdragon 765, at least 6GB of RAM (some rumors claim it’ll have up to 12GB), battery capacity between 4,000 and 4,300 mAh, 30-watt charging, a 90hz display, triple camera on the back and a dual selfie camera peeking through the phone’s display.

As for the price, the OnePlus Nord is expected to make its debut at $499 or maybe even a bit lower.
