Samsung has a lofty sales target for the Galaxy Z Flip

When the Samsung Galaxy Fold was eventually released, the reviews were mixed. While some praised the overall innovation of the smartphone, many felt that this was not the device that they had been hoping for, or at least not worth the years of hype that surrounded it.

Instead of it being a smashing success, Samsung reportedly only managed to sell 500,000 units, which for a phone with a new piece of technology, isn’t so bad. Now it seems that Samsung is hoping that they might have better luck with the Galaxy Z Flip, the company’s upcoming foldable smartphone.

According to a report from the Korea Herald, Samsung reportedly has a new ambitious sales target for the Galaxy Z Flip, and that is they are hoping that they might be able to sell 2.5 million units. This is versus the 1 million target that the company had set for the Galaxy Fold. This is rather ambitious as selling phones in the millions is usually reserved for well-established flagships.

It is possible that Samsung is hoping that the slightly cheaper price tag of the Galaxy Z Flip could entice customers to purchase the phone, but we’ll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, are any of you confident that the Galaxy Z Flip will be capable of moving 2.5 million units?
