Devialet Phantom Reactor goes stealth with new matte black color

0

We reviewed the Devialet Phantom Reactor (as well as its bigger brother the Phantom Silver) and we absolutely loved it. That tiny little egg puts out a ridiculous amount of sound for its size, and an even more absurd amount of low end. Even at quiet volumes, you can feel the impact and rumble. And of course it’s a joy to watch as its side-mounted woofers pulse in and out.

However, the all white aesthetic with that flowery grille can be a little much for some people. It’s undeniably striking, and I’d say it’s beautiful, but it’s easy to see how it isn’t for everyone. Devialet seems to understand because today the French company has announced that it is releasing a matte black version of the Bluetooth speaker. And not just matte black, but fully murdered out. Not even a little bit of white is left and it looks stunning.

Otherwise you get the same great speaker with Bluetooth connectivity, a stereo feature to pair two together, and some crazy audio specs. Check out our review for more details.

This new color is now available at Devialet.com and the matte black speaker will retail for the same price as the white one, which is $1,090 for the 600 watt model and $1,350 for the 900 watt model. They’re expensive but they’re definitely worth the money.
