The Razer Phone 2 was launched last year with some of the highest-end hardware possible at that time. It did not exactly come cheap where it was priced at $800, but if you’re not opposed to using last year’s hardware and want to save yourself a fair bit of money, then perhaps the phone could be worth checking out.
This is because over at Amazon, they are offering a very good deal where the price of the phone has been slashed by 50%. This means that instead of paying $800 for the phone, the Razer Phone 2 is now priced at just $400. This is for the unlocked version of the phone, which means that you’ll have to pay upfront for the entire handset instead of purchasing it through a carrier with an installment plan, although to be honest, $400 is quite a steal.
As for its specs, we’re looking at the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, dual front-facing speakers with Dolby Atmos support and a THX certified DAC. There is also its beautiful 120Hz display, a 4,000mAh battery, and a dual camera setup on the back.
At the moment, it is unclear if Razer has plans to launch a Razer Phone 3 due to cuts of its workforce, so for all we know, this could be one of the last smartphones we’ll be seeing from the company, at least for a while.
