Leaked Samsung Galaxy A90 specs could make it a worthy Galaxy S10 alternative

When you think of the Samsung Galaxy A series of smartphones, you might associate the lineup with mid-range phones. You wouldn’t be completely wrong because that’s what the Galaxy A series was back in the day, but it looks like Samsung is looking to change that perception with the upcoming Galaxy A90.

According to a tweet by @OnLeaks, he has managed to get his hands on the alleged specs of the phone and based on his information, it seems that Samsung could have multiple variants in the works, where one model will support 5G connectivity while the other won’t. The two different models are the SM-A908 and the SM-A905.

Both phones are expected to pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, which is also found in phones like the Galaxy S10, and will also come with 6.7-inch displays with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The main difference between both models seem to be the cameras, where the A908 will feature a triple camera combo consisting of 48MP + 8MP + 5MP sensors, and the A905 will come with a 48MP + 12MP + 5MP sensors.

The A908 is also the model tipped to come with 5G while the A905 will be the non-5G model, although it will make up for it by featuring exclusive tilt optical image stabilization technology. Take it with a grain of salt, but currently, there is no word on when the phone is expected to launch.
