When Huawei announced their new flagship smartphones, the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro, it was obvious that there will be differences between the handsets. The more obvious difference would be in their display, where the P30 has a slightly smaller screen compared to the P30 Pro.
Another difference that Huawei might not have openly advertised, is the fact that the P30 does not support wireless charging while the P30 Pro does. The good news is that it looks like Huawei is trying to make up for it by launching a special wireless charging case for the P30 handset.
What this case does is that it will give the P30 wireless charging capabilities, although this also means that if you’re not a fan of the design and want to use a different case with your phone, that would be out of the question. The case itself will feature the use of permeable magnetic material which means that it can be used with magnetic mounts in your car.
The case itself is Qi certified which means that it should work with the majority of wireless charging accessories out there, including Huawei’s own. We should point out that while this does bring wireless charging to the P30, it only supports 10W wireless charging versus the P30 Pro that supports 15W.
Huawei has yet to confirm when the case will be available for purchase or how much it will cost, but it might be worth keeping an eye out for if wireless charging is a must-have feature for you.
