Google Assistant support for Google Maps rolling out today

0

Google Assistant has been available globally for a long time now, but deeper Google Maps integration has been missing. Luckily, the company has announced that better support for Maps is rolling out today.

Now you can update people on your ETA, answer messages from a variety of apps, control your music and search for places along your route all with your voice. Google has even added support for third-party apps like WhatsApp, Viber, Facebook Messenger and more. The third party support is a nice touch and hopefully we see more companies jumping on board.

All of this just makes driving a little bit safer, with you having to physically interact with your phone a little less. Give these features a shot once they hit your devices! The rollout starts today, but as usual it’s a staged process so it will take time to reach everyone.
