You may have noticed that there has been a bit more coverage of a company called Meizu, and that’s due to the fact that this is the latest company to make waves in the smartphone world. Meizu has been rolling out devices on a regular basis for some time now, but really turned heads with the recent launch of the Meizu Pro 7 lineup, which features dual-cameras and dual displays.
Then, earlier this year, the company announced plans to release at least six new smartphones over the course of 2018. This will not only saturate the Android market even more but will also give users just another brand to learn about and try out.
A couple of weeks ago, the Meizu M6S was officially unveiled and marked the first non-Samsung device to launch with an Exynos processor. Now, it seems that we’re in store for more fun from Meizu, as the company has started sending out press invitations for an event on March 6th.
In addition to the date of the event, Meizu has also revealed the naming monikers for its next devices with the Meizu E3 G and Meizu E3 P. Not much has been shared regarding either of these devices, save for a few leaked images which supposedly shows off the front and rear of the E3.
The image shows that Meizu will be including a bezel-less, 18:9 display, on the front, while a dual-camera setup will be available on the rear. The Meizu E3 will also feature a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C charging port, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Pricing for the Meizu E3 is expected to begin around $320 once it has been made available. Unfortunately, there is no further mention of specs, so we aren’t sure just how much juice Meizu is packing into this device.
