T-Mobile has been quite the roll over the last couple of years, with 2017 being one of the carriers biggest years yet. After earning the highest customer satisfaction award among carriers in 2017, a new report claims that T-Mobile gained almost 2 million customers in just Q4.
All of this comes after a couple of months where T-Mobile’s parent company was in talks with Sprint’s parent company to merge the two carriers into one. This deal obviously fell through, and it seems that T-Mobile is better off without needing to worry about the headaches that come along with Sprint.
While almost 1.9 million customers joined the Un-Carrier in the last quarter of 2017, the report states that T-Mobile added a total of 5.7 million customers over the course of the whole year. This includes more than 3.5 million postpaid customers, which is quite the feat as the carrier continues to compete with the likes of Verizon and AT&T.
What makes 2017 even more impressive for T-Mobile is the fact that this is the fourth consecutive year that the carrier has added more than 5 million customers over the course of a year. Additionally, Q4 2017 marks the 19th consecutive quarter where T-Mobile “has generated more than 1 million total net customer additions”.
