Huawei begins testing Oreo for the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus

0

Android Oreo is still rolling out to many devices, and Huawei is joining the fun with the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus devices. These devices launched last year to much fanfare, but Huawei is just now starting to roll out the Oreo beta program.

The catch with this test is that it’s currently limited to Romania, and there’s no mention as to when the beta program will roll out to other regions. The announcement was officially made via Facebook, where the company has asked for beta testers to sign up for the program.

Of course, this is a move in the right direction, and it’s extremely likely that we’ll see more regions included, even if that means it won’t come to the US just yet. The update itself is available for devices running one of four software versions:

  • VTR-L09C432B180
  • VTR-L29C432B180
  • VKY-L09C432B181
  • VKY-L29C432B181

If you want to try and learn more about this Beta test, you can head over to the official landing page through Huawei here. Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come and is just the first wave of Oreo beta testing before it becomes available in more markets across the globe.

If you have happened to sign up for this beta test, let us know in the comments below and let us know how Oreo is running on your P10 or P10 Plus.
