Here’s a peek at the upcoming Android TV redesign for Oreo

0

Google has slowly but surely been working on improving the experience that Android TV provides, and with several manufacturers launching Android TVs this year, it makes sense that Android O would provide an entirely new experience. Android O for Android TV will include a complete redesign of the home screen, which has been a sticking point for a while.

With the new screen, you’ll be able to access all your content with just a single click. The redesign also features channels so you can intuitively browse all of your services to find the thing you want to watch. The update also focuses on making Google Assistant more prominent after last fall’s update to bring the service to Android TV users.

The dev blog that revealed the new design change also revealed some interesting stats about Android TV users. 87% of Android TV users use their TVs every day and have at least 15 apps installed per device.
