Tidal Music arrives on Android TV in an effort to entice more customers

0

Jay-Z’s endeavor to create a market-changing music streaming service has not performed up to expectations, and the company has been rumored to be as close to having only six months of cash left in the bank. That isn’t stopping Tidal Music from trying everything to bring more users to the platform, and that brings us to today’s news.

Tidal has launched its Tidal TV application for owners of Apple TVs or Android TVs. This application works similarly to the Spotify application that is available on various platforms, with a “Home” section which shows off some of the best recommendations, live streams, music videos and more. There is also a section which will allow for you to customize to your own music tastes.

Furthermore, you should be able to load up music on your smartphone or tablet of choice, and have that music played back through your surround system when using the Tidal Android TV application. The application is rolling out now, and if for some reason you can’t see the Tidal app available on the Play Store, then you’ll just have to wait a bit longer before it becomes available.

Let us know whether you’ve given Tidal a shot, and if something like this is worth having with any music streaming service, or if you stick to using your phone with Bluetooth speakers.
